Lend a Hand
We're working with our neighbors to offer one-on-one support to people across LA County. And you can help.
How you can help
Each of us brings something different to the table. Whether you’re interested in volunteering with us out in the community or you’re looking for other ways to contribute, there’s a place for you with The People’s Project.
The housing crisis is at an all time high in Los Angeles. Greedy housing corporations establish rent prices that often leave their tenants working 2–3 jobs in order to afford rent. We connect our neighbors with critical rental assistance to ensure everyone is able to keep a roof over their heads without having to compromise your personal time.

General inflation coupled with the already high cost of quality produce and food often leave lower socio-economic communities with slim pickings. This often leads to food deserts throughout pockets of our beautiful city. Our food aid guarantees our neighbors have access to high-quality, nutritious meals no matter where they live.

Due to the need to keep up with the rising costs of . . . well . . . everything, parents often have to work more than 1–2 jobs to sustain their basic household needs. This usually means that childcare becomes a luxury and children who are old enough become “latchkey kids.” We connect families with childcare services they can trust, thus giving parents and caregivers the peace of mind they need to go to work and provide for their families.

Ever wonder how the rich get richer? The obvious answer is money, but the less obvious answer is generational wealth where they pass on to their children all of the knowledge surrounding economics. We provide financial literacy to guarantee our neighbors have financial stability today and tomorrow, for themselves, their families, and the generations that follow. We like to call it economic justice.
